2) Difference between a bilingual staff member and a professional Interpreter?

A bilingual individual is one that is (should be) able to speak two languages at a high level. However, research shows that people who describe themselves as bilingual regularly overstate their skills. It's important to do your due diligence! Insure the candidate speaks both languages clearly and is proficient at moving information around (lateralization) between the two languages without hesitation.

A) Interpretation:

• Standard fee is $45.00 per hour for medical or educational topics.
• Standard fee is $55.00 per hour for depositions.
• Standard fee is $60.00 per hour for conferences (Simultaneous Interpretation).

B) Translation:    

• We charge $50.00 per hour or 11 cents per word. When price comparing, please keep in mind that we charge for the source word. Many of our competitors charge for the target word which becomes very confusing and unfair to the customer. We have a great reputation and we guarantee our work. In other words, if we do not meet the agreed upon deadline, there's no charge....period!

C) Bilingual Transcription:

• Standard fee is $1.75 per minute. It includes Translation.
• Rush project(s) is $2.00 per minute. In includes Translation.

5) What is your cancellation policy?

A) Interpretation services: Notice of less than 24 hrs/100 % - Notice between 24-72 hrs/75 % - Date
contract is signed to 72 hrs prior to the assignment or event: 25%

B) Translation and Transcription services: Minimum charge of $50.00. Cancellation policies and fees will be set per project.
